The Patented Deering Crossfire Electric Banjo plays with the power of an
electric guitar and the sound of a banjo. This is the most powerful banjo
available and makes the banjo player an equal with any instrument or group,
electric or acoustic, without the feedback problems associated with
amplifying acoustic instruments. In addition to being completely unique in
the music industry and only available from Deering Banjos, this is a superb
stage instrument.

TONE:
The two active magnetic pickups provide a wide frequency response to
reproduce a powerful sound. One pickup is under the bridge and the other is
under the strings near the neck.

The maple and ebony bridge has strips of metal on the bottom to capture the
sound of the vibrating head as well as the strings for a penetrating banjo
sound.

There are tone and volume controls on the banjo body as well as a three way
select switch that controls which pickup is being used as well as a selection
for the two to play together. This also gives the player control while on
stage or even in the middle of a performance.

The functioning banjo head and brass tone ring make this a truly electric
banjo, not a solid body guitar with five strings. The standard size 11 inch
head is easily adjustable through the back of the banjo by tightening 24
brackets.

PLAYABILITY:
The neck is slender with a low profile for fast accurate fingering and
comfortable for large and small hands. The ebony fingerboard is polished
to a slick, fast, surface.

The neck is made of hard, rock maple and finished with a high gloss finish
that has a smooth and fast feel as well as having a striking contrast to the
high gloss black body.

The two way adjustable truss rod provides precision adjustment to maintain
superb playability without buzzing.

The Crossfire banjo can be played un-amplified almost silently which makes
practicing at night or while traveling in hotel rooms practical and
enjoyable. (Or, practicing with amplified headphones allows the player to
play with volume privately.)

The body mounted jack allows the player to plug in with the same ease of an
electric guitar and uses any high quality electric guitar cord.

WARRANTY:
The carefully selected materials, combined with Deering's world renown
craftsmanship and building techniques make it easy to protect the Deering
banjo buyer with a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and
workmanship.
