Tone:
The Boston STEEL rim is 3/16 of an inch thick. It's mass gives the banjo a clear, crisp tone that penetrates past

The 11" diameter rim is the standard size that all popular heads are made to fit. The customer can try a variety of
heads to create different tones.

Imported banjos have rims of aluminum or soft wood and pot metal. Neither have the density of Steel and therefore
